All‘alba Vincerò!

Early revolutionaries often dream of quick victory.
The title of the work is Italian for "At down, I will win!" – a line from Nessun Dorma (“None shall sleep"), a song from Puccini's famous opera Turandot. The singer is the character Calaf who, after providing the answer to Turandot’s riddle, was supposed to marry princess Turandot. But seeing her negative reaction, he gives her another chance: if she guessed his real name by dawn, then, rather than marry him, she could have him executed. Clearly he expected to win this challenge.
